How to choose a media-monitoring provider in Azerbaijan
A checklist for comparing providers on what actually matters for Azerbaijani coverage — and how MediaEye answers each point.
1. Sources
Ask for the source count and what it counts. MediaEye monitors more than 1,000 news websites, plus TV channels, radio stations and eight social platforms. Ask whether the outlets that matter to your sector are included, and how quickly new ones are added.
2. Where keywords are searched
Some tools search only headlines. MediaEye searches titles, descriptions and full content — and uses OCR to read text inside images and video frames, where many brand appearances on social media actually happen.
3. Language handling
Test spelling variants: with and without ə, ı, ğ, ş, ç, ö, ü; Cyrillic forms; Russian-language coverage; abbreviations and inflected forms. Neurotime builds its own Azerbaijani lemmatization, relevance and sentiment models for exactly this reason.
4. Speed and archive
How often are sources checked, and how long is history kept? MediaEye updates news every 15 minutes and social media, TV and radio every hour, and keeps every mention in a permanent archive.
5. AI analysis
Ask how irrelevant matches are removed, how sentiment is classified and whether reposts are grouped. Ask to see raw results, not only the dashboard. See methodology.
6. Reports and alerts
Which reports exist, in which formats, and how are alerts delivered? MediaEye provides reports in any format you ask for, including custom layouts, and alerts by email, Telegram bot, WhatsApp bot and in-platform notifications — instant or scheduled. See alerts.
7. Run a trial on your own keywords
Give providers the same keywords for the same week and compare what each found and missed. Neurotime offers a free demo on your own brand.
