Media monitoring, social listening and an omnichannel inbox: how they work together
These three tools all deal with what people say about you, but they work on different data and serve different teams. The most value comes from using them together.
Media monitoring
Tracks published coverage — news websites, TV and radio — about your organization, people and sector. Typical users: PR, communications and leadership. Output: coverage reports, trends and alerts. With MediaEye, news websites are updated every 15 minutes and TV and radio every hour.
Social listening
Searches public social media content for your keywords, whether or not you are tagged. Typical users: marketing, brand and reputation teams. Output: volume, sentiment, topics, reach and reactions on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, X, LinkedIn and Telegram.
MediaEye combines media monitoring and social listening, because a story constantly moves between news sites and social media. OCR adds another layer: text inside images and videos is searched as well.
Omnichannel inbox
Manages conversations on channels you own: your WhatsApp number, Instagram and Facebook pages, Messenger, Telegram, website chat, email and Google Business Profile reviews. Typical users: customer support, sales and social media teams. Output: answered conversations and service metrics.
Why one platform is better than three
Obsera is owned by Neurotime and contains all of these products. A negative post found by MediaEye, the customer's direct message in the inbox and the AI agent's draft reply sit in the same place. Your team does not copy links between tools or log in three times — it moves from insight to action in one click.
A simple test: if the question is “what is being said about us?” you need monitoring and listening. If it is “who is waiting for our reply?” you need an inbox. Most organizations need both — see Obsera and MediaEye.
